خطاب الهيمنة في رواية الرّوشي لمحمد كمون
Résumé
This study explores the discourse of domination in Al-Roushi by Mohamed Kamoun, focusing on its mechanisms and their transformation from the era of armed terrorism to that of the civil state, in light of Michel Foucault’s thought. It investigates how subordinates are created, how they resist, and how domination is embedded in characters’ names. The analysis shows that domination is not marginal but a structural dimension shaping events and meanings. Kamoun employs familiar cultural symbols-names, dialogue, space, and time-to project his intellectual and aesthetic vision. The novel reveals diverse forms of domination-political, patriarchal, and symbolic-that converge in a repressive network draining the self. This network reduces individuals to tools in the tyrant’s hands. The narrative highlights continuity rather than rupture between past and present domination. Violence shifts from overt physical brutality during terrorism to silent symbolic oppression under the civil state.
