Résumé

The problem of the relationship between the self and existence is one of the most prominent problems philosophy investigates in all its directions and trends. Sinse literature is an art of self-expression, many writers have tried to touch on this relationship through the techniques of imagination to write about the self and its structures within complex ontological system, which is what the Algerian writer Mouhamed Dib worked on in his novel The flat desert , where he sought to dive into the depths of the self and represent its existential journey and its various paths.
