Résumé
This study aimed to address the most important aspects of deviation with deletion in poetic messages in the Mamluk period, and identify the extent of their effectiveness in linguistic context and structure texture, and the produced aesthetic and expressive values that develop poetic discourse from surface and direct statement to rich connotative powers. This can be attributed to the fact that deviation violates linguistic rules, exceeds uniformity, falling an important criterion for achieving effectiveness and text aesthetic, and affecting the receiver. A stylistic methodology was used for analyzing the poetic discourse. This paper has been ranged into three sections, initiated by an introduction and followed by a conclusion. The Introduction has clarified the terms of the study: deviation, deletion, and poetic messages. Section I has shown the effectiveness of deviation with deletion of letters of structures and meanings. Section II has addressed the effectiveness of deviation with deletion in the nominal sentence. Section III has addressed the effectiveness of deviation with deletion in the verbal sentence. Finally, the study found that deviation is a significant phenomenon in poetic messages in the Mamluk period by which poets expressed occupied conscious meanings in a promotional and creative vision, and derivative technique. This in turn promotes poeticism, and generates various denotative and connotative meanings, and various rhetoric aesthetic secrets; the case that makes texts more aesthetic, and affects the receiver.
