Analyse pragmatique de l’impolitesse: contraste des normes de communication hors ligne et en ligne

Abdeldjabar Khodja, Zohir Khellaf

Résumé

This study analyzes impoliteness in online and offline interactions, based on an exchange between Emmanuel Macron and a young citizen. The objective is to understand how impoliteness is perceived in these two contexts. The results show that impoliteness is perceived more intensely online, mainly due to anonymity and the absence of non-verbal cues. In face-to-face interactions, these cues help mitigate the perception of impoliteness. Online, humor and irony often recontextualize impoliteness. The study recommends proactive moderation and the promotion of respectful behavior on digital platforms
