Résumé

The novel interacts with discourses different from it. Its open form allows it to absorb philosophical and scientific knowledge without losing its conditionality and aesthetic identity. In this way, the novels “When Nietzsche Wept” and Schopenhauer’s treatment of philosophical knowledge, based on their reliance on the mechanism of narrative dialogue. On its basis, the reader learns about the philosophical opinions and contents proposed by the two philosophers, intellectually, narratively, and aesthetically.
