Résumé

This research paper aims to unveil divorcee women representations in contemporary Algerian novel. Various and different texts have been carefully selected and analyzed for that purpose. Besides, the term ‘representation’ was intentionally chosen mainly because of its reduction characteristic. Moreover, the paper tackles the way Algerian intellectuals envision and represent female characters in which the focus was on divorcee women.
