Résumé

Talk about the plight of the intellectual leads us to pay attention to what Moroccan thinker Mohammed Noureddine Affaya presented in his book entitled "Identity and Difference in Women, Writing and Margin" Because he characterizes the pathological correlation between the intellectual and authority, and presents throughout it a double vision that criticism is both a marginality of the intellectual and a way out of his plight.

 Hence, this research paper highlights this critical paradox and addresses the following problem: how does Affaya view the plight of the intellectual? Could criticism be a link between the questions of culture and freedom?
