Résumé
This study provides a semiotic analysis of Al-Janad University Logo. It deals with the symbol as an advertising medium and a communication channel used to define the university, and promote its services. The logo reveals a special philosophy and multiple cultural dimensions. The study explores the meaning, interprets and identifies the deep connotations. The study traced the connotations through its overall structure, and tried to discover its secondary semantics within its internal components, its colors, and linguistic components.The study used the semiotic approach and other methodological arguments. It concluded that the logo contains visual and linguistic components revealing very fertile connotations. They give the logo an effective promotional energy that present fertile cultural concepts.
