Résumé

The Sufi poet Omar Ibn Al-Farid is considered one of the poetic voices that created and flooded a soft poem that is preserved and celebrated by the Arab literary heritage, and Sufi in particular. As Ibn al-Farid led Sufi poetry to higher levels, and raised his level of language and content to an unprecedented rehab, his poetic experience yielded the finest of what was said about divine love. In his journey towards the Absolute, he found in poetry a means to achieve his desires.

This experiment in meditation and isolation was the source of the overflow by reflecting on his poetry by expressing spiritual meanings that he had acquired from his journey towards the invisible world. His poems came in luscious language, language from another stage, which included complex meanings and connotations that were based on the symbol in all its forms and patterns.
